I don't recall I have ever been or seen an exhibition in Kuwait where everything, from A to Z, looked flawless quite like Experimentواحد exhibition, which was held last week at Arabana Warehouse in Al Raay.  The display, the collection, the whole ambiance, everything was just perfect.

To say I am impressed by Experimentواحد and their work would be an understatement. Architects Dalal Al Hashash, Fatma Al Obaid, and Khawla Al Hussain have managed to design and produce handbags using industrial material, genuine leather, and other unexpected details, and were able to add beauty, creativity, and femininity to industrial pieces. Think ropes weaved into beautiful geometric shapes, delicately laser-cut leather in pretty shapes; perfect stitching, and bright florescent plexi details. As I scanned each handbag at the exhibition, which by the way they were beautifully displayed in a very artistic installation (shown in the photos below), I realized how much efforts were put into creating a piece, great attention to detail and fine craftsmanship.

I was taken, revitalized, and convinced that these three talented Kuwaiti architects had accomplished a very intelligent marriage of their engineering and architectural skills with  their passion for fashion. They are such a creative force because, unlike the business of caftans in our region, they are making strides in a field rarely tackled in our country, and they’re producing top-notch high-quality distinguished pieces, that I bet you won’t find elsewhere.

Experimentواحد was previously mentioned on my blog here and here. If you wish to order a bag or have any further inquiries, please send an e-mail to Info@ExperimentsLab.com or click here. You can also follow them on Facebook and twitter for their latest updates and on instagram (Experiment_1).

In love with their installation
The above image is a close-up of one of my favorite bag, it had the shape of a shopping bag, very light and easy to carry. And its geometric weaving makes it that more special. If my memory serves me right, the price tag of the bag was KD 90.

The plexi hexagon bag looked ideal to pair with caftans and maxi casual chic dresses
Another favorite is this chain framed laptop bag. Check out the details of stitching and weaving, absolutely flawless. And it was quite light to carry.

Under each bag displayed, there was a board with an illustration of the bag, its name, and the price tag.

Another beautiful installation at the warehouse's yard
Every bag purchased gets packaged in one of these well-made board boxes which were also artistically displayed at the entrance of the warehouse.

As seen on Harper’s Bazar magazine, those gorgeous, figure-fitting gowns are now available at Dar Usha store in Burj Jassim.

On my last day in London, when I reached my ultimate of fashionable yet broke state, I made sure to indulge in one of my other favorite pastimes, window shopping. Looking at the creatively decorated window displays, I couldn't help but admire the beauty that was in front of me. The celebrated accessory of piece of clothing might look... ok on the shelves, but the way they have them artistically displayed on the window makes them that more special. Check out Chanel's Boy bag. I didn't like its color, but I like how it blended well with the pearly accessories and the sparkling background. So magical.

Siiiigh! Pradaaaa!

Every season I look forward to Closet Candy's lookbook because it is always produced in such a professional way that you would think it belongs to a renowned international retailer, and this season is no exception. As I skimmed through the online pages of the lookbook, I was really amazed by the quality of the photos and how fun and breezy styled looks... looked! This season, instead of a lookbook with a bunch of different images from the latest collections, Closet Candy opted to introduce a Style Guide to highlight the season's biggest trends and how to incorporate them. Easy breezy... just like that.

You can view the entire lookbook by clicking here.

The idea of producing on-trend high quality clothes and fashion accessories at an affordable price with limited production quantity makes shopping at Uterqüe even more appealing to me. Take for example this multicolored shoulder bag which also can turn into an oversized clutch, it's practical, fun to carry, and has this "inspired-by-Valentino" functional and chic tan-colored strap for carrying around an oversized clutch. How cool is that?

There is a new online store in Kuwait called Ubuy, it looks like a very well designed site, but its still in beta mode. Looks like they are not just focusing on electronics, but everything from electronics to luggage & Bags.

You know that feeling when you say the wrong thing to someone, realize it later, way after it's too late, and then feel stupid about it for days afterward? That's exactly how I would describe my current obsession with this season's shoes! While shopping in London last week, I promised myself not to buy any shoes because I bought waaaay too many than I actually need! So I decided to simply admire the fabulous shoes from afar... tried on a couple of pairs, daydreamed what to wear them with. And then the sales lady interrupted my fantasy with her "Shall I wrap those for you" kind of question, and unfortunately I coyly replied to her with the wrong answer: "Yes". Why couldn't I just say No?! As simple as that. How do one recover from such obsession?! Especially when surrounded by Balenciagas (featured in the photos above and below), Nicholas Kirkwoods, and Olympia's of the season.

I was invited to attend the launch of designer Fahad Al Marzouq's exotic leather handbag collection HbyF designs, which was held last night at AlOthman Boutique. The warm-welcoming hosts, the cool bags, the fashionable crowd, and the whole ambiance, the launch party was nothing short of amazing. The first thing I did when I got there before socializing was take a closer look at Fahad's creations. The handbag collection was designed using rich exotic leather, ombred feathers, lots of studded details, and had a great deal of fine craftsmanship. I truly believe that this time Fahad was able to project unique styles to his designs AND was able to cater to different tastes at the same time. There were the retro-like oversized snakeskin clutches in beautiful gem tones, think emerald green (featured above and my fave piece of the collection), cobalt blue, red hot, and golden yellow, which I thought they'd be ideal for someone with a subtle yet chic sense of style.  The other pieces were more targeted to those who love fierce fashion and hard-core fans of studded accessories. Scroll down to check out some of HbyF designs.

Designer Fahad Al Marzouq dressed in a Kuwaiti traditional dishdasha, Knowing his unique personal style, I didn't see that coming! I liked this look too.

Neon Louboutin pumps rocked the floor!

And that's the end. Elegant one too... no?

It's amazing how every season Zara presents a pair or two from its shoes collection which look too good to be labeled as high street! Yes, they are not always that comfy or made of the greatest material, but they have some of the best designed selection amongst all other high-street stores and of course budget-friendly. I spotted these at Zara London the other day, I'm sure they're available in Kuwait too as I remember seeing them before, and I was really contemplating whether I should get a pair or not. The style featured in the first photo reminded me of Prada's S/S 2011 collection. And I loved the color combination of the ones featured in the second photo.
