Artwork that visually reflects his unique style, unmistakable characteristics of simplicity of expression, spontaneity, vast, colorful icons and impressions with a sense of patriotism.

Helmi is a Formative Egyptian Phenomenon, inclined towards the folklore treasures in a contemporary action, as he owns both the cultural vision as well as the means to execute.

Helmi is well known in Egypt and Kuwait through a diverse the multitude of his Artworks…. His creativity had extended further to contribute in publications such as public cultural cronicals (Al Arabi Magazine) and many book covers and illustrations of both “Al Hilal Novels” and children’s books.

Tour at GITEX 2011 expo

Today we want to take you on a tour for GITEX 2011 electronics expo in Dubai, our blog friend Eng. Mohammed brought us many cool photos and information !

GITEX remains to be my favorite electronics expo in Middle East, why ? Because it brings the latest technologies in one place, plus the big number of participating companies. Sadly Kuwait Info Connect expo doesn’t bring us much.

Here we have the world’s largest Full HD 3D 152″ screen from Panasonic.

Check this one, a weather proof TV from Panasonic, it can resist water and dust, nice.

This one is a nice 65 inch wall mount multi-touch screen for many purposes.

I liked their E-Government project, they have applications for every device (iPhone, iPad, Androids, BlackBerry, Galaxy Tab..etc) so citizens can easily pay or access any service.

This one is the world’s most intelligent riding robot for kids with sensors, voice alert, and turn radius, nice!

Here we have innovative water proof speakers.

This one is wireless camera bag from a Korean company.

In here, we have a small home robot that can do many house works.

Even Dubai police are now fixing wireless cameras on the dogs so they can record everything.

Apple was also part of expo with many products.

School books in Dubai are on iPads, I think Kuwait is also planning to use iPads and CD’s instead of paper ones.

Another multi-touch screen used as a table for many purposes from Panasonic.

I like the E-Gate idea, they can be used for airports for faster immigration and this eliminates the need to wait in long queues for an immigration officer to stamp and verify individual passports.

This is an amazing dust and weather proof laptop computers.

A new concept aligned with what's happening and what's coming to a new arab world map , the idea are colorful Globs with batch work on them that shows the whole arab world . Each glob has a different swatches and color some with Um Kalthum face other with pyramids and many shapes and swatches that makes each one a piece of it's own , there is one major big ball with birds embroidered all over it , along with it comes some ceramic black flying birds at the wall . The whole idea is exceptional and completely new . interesting .

Here are some of Sami Mohamed art work , a Kuwaiti artist , his comeing back is so powerful and large many vibrant colorful paintings , still you recognize his touch in every single painting and sculpture which make them very much Sami Mohamed , i loved the whole exhibition it's worth visiting @ Tilal Gallary , Tilal mall Shuwaikh , Kuwait .

‘Bokja Design Studio’ chose to represent solely Arab countries, and to stretch them out on a complete globe- challenging an instantly recognizable icon. By presenting the map of the Arab world in different colorfully upholstered designs, the series of globes essentially aim to draw attention to the region as a seething macrocosm of change and to express the extent of its sweep and diversity.

New Exhibition Hall In K-Town

The Contemporary Art Platform is the newest hub for contemporary artists/art lovers in Kuwait. It’s a 700-square-meter space, located in the Industrial Shuwaikh area of Kuwait. Its facilities include a number of movable exhibition walls, an arts library (with over 1000 books), cinema, conference room, design corner, and a cafe.

The official launching event is scheduled for today Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011 at 7:00 pm. It will be hosting the Face To Face exhibition, featuring portrait artworks of international artists, coming from several art collectors in Kuwait (I read on their fb page that there will be artistic portraits of Ives San Laurent & Salvador Dali so that should be interesting)

The exhibition will be ongoing until Oct 15, 2011.

I revived an invitation to attend the Contemporary Art Platform Exhibition that is going to be held on September 28. It is a Public event so everyone is welcome to join.

In homage to visages, the Contemporary Art Platform’s first art exhibition arrays portraits from the archives of Kuwait’s art collectors. Through these human faces we will explore the themes of Icon, Self & Society in the modern Arab world.

The eclectic show of 100+ photographs, paintings and sculptures will highlight Kuwait’s refined aesthetic values and the market trends of the Arab art world.

Location: Life Center, Industrial Shuwaikh. Block 2 / St. 28 / Top floor of Life Center (across from Shuwaikh Immigration Office, same building as Eureka/Midas)

The spectacular Frankfurt Motor Show 2011 is taking place in Germany. It is one of the biggest motor show in the world held every year (one year will see passenger cars in Frankfurt and the following year would have commercial vehicles at Hannover). The motor show commenced on September 13 and will continue till September 25.
