Tomorrow will mark the first day for Kuwait’s most popular electronics/telecom expo, InfoConnect, at Kuwait International Fair and extends for a week.

I always enjoyed visiting InfoConnect expo where people could find really great deals, but I’ve noticed in the recent years that its not like before, we want to see the latest things technology has reached plus more variety and more companies.

When: January 29th till February 4th
Where: Kuwait International Fair – Mishref.
Time: 9:00am – 1pm, 4:30pm – 9pm

I came to kow about new Kuwaiti based concept restaurant specialized in breakfast that will open very soon in Fintas area. I noticed that breakfast restaurants are the trend nowadays, though I don’t mind at all. :)

This is the location, and I will review it when its opeed insha’allah.

I passed by the Buger Hub and noticed that its under renovation, they said there will be totally new decorations and more tables and that it will re-open in less than a month. They are one of my favorite burger places, luckily take away orders are still available.

This may sound little weird but I never used 6alabat.com to order anything, partly because I was too lazy to register, but I found that they have launched an iPhone application so I wanted to try it especially that they now have the quick order option which doesn’t need you to register.

And here is my Johnny Rockets order arrived.

We were asked by Gloria Jean’s Coffees to taste their new Ramadan’s drink, the pomegranate iced tea, and give our feedback. Beside the nice red color, the taste was a blend of sour/sweet.

I could feel the tea taste but the pomegranate added some sourness. It was tasty but I want a better mixing for even more tastiness. The small size is priced at 1.400 and large at 1.800 K.D

We received nine pieces of chocolate moose from the Kuwaiti home-made business ”Silver Sweet” for tasting and giving our impressions.

The violet packaging looked nice, though sadly the molten moose were slightly messy.

The taste was delicious, I could taste the chocolate and milk or probably nestle. The 9 pieces cost 6 K.D, that’s about 600 fils per piece.

I was shopping at Carrefour and saw that they have added local camel meat to the meats section, I never tried camel meat and I was wondering if its worth the try ?

I heard it has less fat, less cholesterol and high protein, this is really good for people that wish to eat more red meat but have dietary problems like high cholestrol, diabetes, and bodybuilders, but what about the taste ?

Our contributor writer “Houli” had a really nice visit to the Tea Factory in Sri Lanka during their summer vacation and brought us a really interesting photos for tea making process.

I love tea, with and without sugar, and I always wondered how its made and finally I got to see the way they do it.

The factory is 150 years old and was controlled by the British people and was given back to the Sri Lankans recently.

I was surprised to know that there are three types of tea (Mornintg tea, afternoon tea, and night tea).

After they dry and remove the dirts, they grind the tea leaves and create the tea grains (Coarse, medium, and soft). I was told that the medium is the best.

We tasted their normal tea and green tea and they both tasted great, much better than the other tea brands at the markets.

We recommend Sri  Lankan tea, and pay the factory visit next time you are in Sri Lanka :)

I like hot dogs especially when watching movies, but it takes a while to eat one. Amrican, Joey Chestnu (27), had eaten 62 hot dogs in less than 10 minutes, Masha’allah !

That’s the world record, but he looks thin in the photo, I wish I can eat as much without getting big round belly. :)

Warning: The video might be too disgusting for some.

I saw a new crisps from Burger King at the new Sultan Center. There were Ketchup & Fries, Onion Rings, French Toast, and Flame Broiled.

I’m not much into crisps but they looked tempting to try :)

Thanks [Khaled]

We got invitation for the opening of the new Sultan Center at Sha’ab Leisure Park. The opening was attended by Mr. Jamil Sultan (Owner) and the British Ambassador.

The total area for the new Sultan Center is about 3,500 Sq.meter and we noted that there were some stuff that did not existed in the other branches.

Many people came to so shopping at the new Sultan Center, I’ll leave you with some photos from our quick tour.

I absolutely loved the idea of this little project that will help you deliver your left over food to the poor and all you have to do is call them 24 hours before your occasion or party.

This is great idea especially in Ramadan, where we always have more food than we actually need !

We were invited by bubble t cafe at Galleria 2000 complex in Salmiya. First, I liked their cute cozy cafe, and second I enjoyed their tea drinks a lot.

After all, I wanted to try something different from Mocha, Latte,..etc and got what I wanted.  They had two different tea drinks classic & frappe (blendid)

I picked their classic Litchi drink, since this is all new to me, and guess what ? It tasted so good, the taste was like a sweet tea with delicious jelly balls at the bottom.

The jelly balls melt slowly in your mouth, I loved this part. They also serv many other drinks which I’m going to explore very soon, and yeah I loved their cheesecake too ;)

The traditional Kuwaiti word “Harissa” had joined the world of Oxford Dictionaries. Oxford Dictionary defined Harissa as harasa to crush, pound, tenderize by beating.

For those who don’t know Harissa, it’s is traditional meal in Kuwait, a porridge-like dish made of ground wheat and tendered meat pounded together.

So who wants Harissa ? Next is “Motabag” :)
