Tomorrow at Wahran park in Shamiya area the K-Town Karnival will kick-off, its a nice expo about small businesses, talents, music, and kids recreation. I visited it last year and found it enjoyable !

While passing by 360 Mall this morning I saw that the Wedding Expo started, it includes everything about weddings such as accessories, jewelry, dresses and more.

Tomorrow will mark the first day for Kuwait’s most popular electronics/telecom expo, InfoConnect, at Kuwait International Fair and extends for a week.
I always enjoyed visiting InfoConnect expo where people could find really great deals, but I’ve noticed in the recent years that its not like before, we want to see the latest things technology has reached plus more variety and more companies.

We got the chance to take a cool tour at the Gulf Defense & Aerospace Expo, which happens in Kuwait for the first time ever, so get ready to lock and load !
I had to get a permit to get inside the expo, which wasn’t easy but guess what? It worth it.
I saw the latest developments in weapons and met with some of the biggest companies in the world specialized in weapons industry.
I even had the chance to hold real guns and ammunition, also there was a cool simulation for F-18 and Apache.
I liked technologies iRobot, this company has really advanced weapons.
The Kuwaiti Army and Coast Guards also made nice demonstrations.
I learned many facts about weapons and technologies, if you can get access for the expo then go ahead and pay it a visit because you will enjoy it.
The expo will continue till Wednesday and its only open from 10:00 AM till 3:00 PM at Kuwait International Fair hall#8.

One of the most exciting things Dubai was the Motor Show 2011, it exceeded my expectations by all means and I’m pretty sure you will be amazed too.

There were also test-driving and live shows that added more excitement.

المعرض من تنظيم الامانة العامة لمجلس الامة بالتعاون مع النادي العلمي الكويتي ويستمر ليومين. كانت هناك العديد من الصور الرائعة لمبنى مجلس الامة والتي التقطها فريق متخصص من النادي العلمي.ا

That Al Salasil is participating in the 36th yearly book fair at Kuwait International Fair Ground. The fair starts on the 19th of Oct. till the 29th.

Today we want to take you on a tour for GITEX 2011 electronics expo in Dubai, our blog friend Eng. Mohammed brought us many cool photos and information !
GITEX remains to be my favorite electronics expo in Middle East, why ? Because it brings the latest technologies in one place, plus the big number of participating companies. Sadly Kuwait Info Connect expo doesn’t bring us much.
Here we have the world’s largest Full HD 3D 152″ screen from Panasonic.
Check this one, a weather proof TV from Panasonic, it can resist water and dust, nice.
This one is a nice 65 inch wall mount multi-touch screen for many purposes.
I liked their E-Government project, they have applications for every device (iPhone, iPad, Androids, BlackBerry, Galaxy Tab..etc) so citizens can easily pay or access any service.
This one is the world’s most intelligent riding robot for kids with sensors, voice alert, and turn radius, nice!
Here we have innovative water proof speakers.
This one is wireless camera bag from a Korean company.
In here, we have a small home robot that can do many house works.
Even Dubai police are now fixing wireless cameras on the dogs so they can record everything.
Apple was also part of expo with many products.
School books in Dubai are on iPads, I think Kuwait is also planning to use iPads and CD’s instead of paper ones.
Another multi-touch screen used as a table for many purposes from Panasonic.
I like the E-Gate idea, they can be used for airports for faster immigration and this eliminates the need to wait in long queues for an immigration officer to stamp and verify individual passports.
This is an amazing dust and weather proof laptop computers.

We had a quick visit to the Photo Frenzy expo at Gallery Tilal; photography lovers will enjoy this expo big time.
The orginzers said Photo Frenzy sums four exhibitions that reflect four different types of photography; Fine Art photography, Sports photography, Female Photographers, and Underwater in co-operation with Tahani Al Ayoub.
I observed that the photography elements such as light, shade, depth, composition, technique, exposure, and subject were considered in the taken shots.
The displayed photos were for sale, but the price tag 350-400 K.D is high. The expo will continue until the end of this month.
The mostly used camera is Canon EOS-1D Mark III with Canon 400mm f/2.8L IS USM lens and 800mm focal length. So if you love photography, pay the expo a visit, you won’t regret !

Catastrophe struck the Indiana State Fair on Saturday, where a 60mph gust of wind brought down the concert stage where the country music duo Sugarland was about to appear.
With the stage coverings acting as an enormous sail, the lighting grid and supporting scaffolding collapsed under the wind’s force, killing at least five people and injuring about 40.
